| S. B. Devi Charity Home takes part in various health programmes like blood donation camps, health check-up camps and eye check-up camps throughout the year. Sometimes expensive operations like IOL (Intra-Ocular Lens) are performed free of cost through the Rotary Club of North Calcutta. In the last year and current year too the society observed Intensified Pulse Polio Programme which vaccinates children up to 5 years throughout the country to make India polio free. Inner Wheel Club of North Calcutta also gave financial and moral support for this program. Abinash Dutta Maternity Home supplied all materials. Our representatives also went to a local slum area to administer the Polio vaccine to the babies there. |
